Frequently asked questions.

The ceremony will be held at The Little Nell’s Wedding Overlook atop Aspen Mountain, which requires a ride up the Silver Queen Gondola to access. The cocktail hour and reception will be held in The Little Nell at the base of Ajax Mountain.
-
The wedding party & immediate family will be staying in a condominium in Aspen. There are numerous boutique hotels in Aspen listed on our website. If you are open to sharing accomodations, we encourage you to look on AirBnB and VRBO for other condominium options. If you will be staying before or after the wedding for some skiing / snowboarding, this is often more economical. You can also look in Snowmass and Aspen Highlands. We don’t recommend going as far as Carbondale or Basalt, as this will make transportation challenging in the late evening or in bad weather. Please let us know if you have questions or need help finding a place to stay.
-
Please see the section of our website with tranportation options for Aspen and if you are arrving from Denver. If you are staying in Aspen, you really don’t need a vehicle and there are typically parking charges at the hotels. Uber & Lyft are readily available, many hotels have shuttles and the RFTA is excellent.

Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 6 PM. You should be at the Aspen Mountain Silver Queen Gondola for upload to the venue at 5 PM in order to have plenty of time to get to the Wedding Overlook, get comfortable and find a seat.

We would love to see our family & friends dressed up with us for this occasion!
Please, no jeans, t-shirts, flannel, etc.
Mountain Formal Attire is a dress code for events held in rustic, outdoor, or mountainous settings. It blends formalwear with a touch of practicality and nature-inspired style—think elegant, but with comfort and terrain in mind.
Mountain Formal focuses on full elegance with a distinctive natural flair. Floor-length gowns and classic tuxedos become canvases for mountain-inspired creativity. Ladies can incorporate bold jewelry and layered accessories that complement dramatic silhouettes. Gentlemen might opt for a tuxedo in unexpected colors like navy blue or deep green, paying homage to the surrounding landscape.
Mountain Black Tie Wedding Attire
At the pinnacle of mountain wedding dress codes, Mountain Black Tie leaves limited room for creativity. While men ought to wear a nice tuxedo and ladies should opt for an elegant evening gown or cocktail dress, it’s still possible to capture that unique mountain charm. Men may choose a tux with a slight pattern on the lapel or swap out regular dress shoes for formal dark-colored boots. Women, stick to those lush, earthy hues and subtle boho patterns.

If you received a plus one or a guest’s name listed on your invitation, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep our wedding an intimate event with close family & friends only.
